That's right!! We finally did it. We finally moved to Franklin, TN. I've been wanting to move to this area for several years. I knew one day I would be here and I love it. We are less than 2 blocks from the square.
We've got our house with the white picket fence. Check it out.

It's smaller than what we had, but we love it. Before our move we sold or gave away most of our furniture and home decor. I wanted to start new. I wanted this lil 1935 cottage to get the special treatment it deserves. I haven't purchased much for it yet. We did finally decide on a sofa and it should be here next month. That is pretty much the only thing I plan to buy that's new. The rest of the shopping will be done at flea markets, thrift stores and antique shops, which did I mention are within walking distance of our home? I hope to walk you through our neighborhood soon and may take you on some shopping trips. I'll post more photos later. I would love any and all input, decorating ideas and how to projects. I'm working with a small space and storage is limited. I need some creative ideas.
Happy New Year to you all and I'll be back real soon.
Kris

So glad you are back in blogland! and glad you stopped by. Your house is great and I can't wait to see inside! Hope you win the book...looks like your chances are good since I don't have many followers yet! LOL
Yeah! Glad you are back!!
Welcome back!! I am so happy for you (and jealous)!!:-D What a pretty cottage - and only 2 blocks from the square!?!?! And a white picket fence - You really did good! I have tried to figure out how I could move to Franklin, but don't see it happening. I had planned on making a trip up there this last Fall, but other things going on got in the way, so hopefully this Spring. You won't have any problem finding so many pretty things for you new home. For inspiration, be sure and go to The Iron Gate, but hold tight to your purse! So many beautiful things, but a person could do serious damage to their bank account in there. :-)
Looking forward to seeing what you do with your new home.
Glenda

Glenda, I have been to the Iron Gate and you're right.....wow I could dump a months salary in one day easily. Okay, probably a years salary. :) I'm looking forward to doing lot's and lot's of shopping. Some of the boutiques are way out of my price range, but a great source of inspiration. Franklin has a spring festival coming up in late march you should try to come that weekend.
Oh your home is lovely!! I know you are so happy! Enjoy! I cannot wait to see your town and your decorating of your lovely new place! Glad you are doing well, I missed you!
Hugs, Lisa
